Work & Enneagrams


Enneagrams are so fun and can tell you a lot about a person's leadership style, personality, and how they handle work. There are nine types of personalities and each one is unique in their own way.

TYPE ONE 

Type Ones are known for their perfectionistic tendencies. As a Type One myself, I can really relate to the following needs of my workplace. 
Famous Type Ones include: 
  • Type Ones love to have a sense of belonging in their place of work and to have their efforts be recognized.
  • Type Ones always need to have a voice in projects, they have a lot of ideas and want to be understood and respected.
  • Type Ones are perfectionists. They want their co-workers and supervisors to appreciate how thorough and precise their work is. 

TYPE TWO 

Type Twos are known for their friendly and caring nature. They are selfless and want to help everyone around them. My wing falls in Type Two, so many of these attributes are needs I relate to. 
Famous Type Twos: 
  • Type Twos do a lot for others. They feel valued and respected when they are credited for their efforts and contributions to the team.
  • Type Twos love to be trusted and feel a sense of belonging when they are tasks with big responsibilities. 
  • Type Twos are so focused on others that it is difficult for them to focus on their own accomplishments. Make sure to give them lots of verbal appreciation, precise and specific compliments about the work they are doing can go a long way. 

TYPE THREE

Type Threes are known for being energetic, ambitious, and success-oriented.
Famous Type Threes:
  • Type Threes crave and need positive feedback that is timely and practical.
  • Type Threes need recognition for the results they've gotten, it helps them with future performances.
  • Type Threes love to be trusted to explore big ideas and to make things happen.

TYPE FOUR

Type Fours are known for their sensitive and reserved nature, as well as their emotional honesty. 
Famous Type Fours:
  • Type Fours love when people ask for their ideas and value them. 
  • Type Fours love to be given more responsibility and feeling that they are being impactful.
  • Type Fours hate being micromanaged and want to be trusted to get their work done and to do it well. 

TYPE FIVE 

Type Fives are known for their independent and innovative nature, as well as being extremely alert and curious.
Famous Type Fives: 
  • Type Fives need and appreciate clear and precise communication. Don't sugar coat anything. 
  • Type Fives love quantitative data to show them their progress and success. Give compliments in numbers and actions.
  • Type Fives appreciate when you take the time to listen and consider the ideas they bring to the table. 

TYPE SIX     

Type Sixes are known for their excellent troubleshooting skills. They are very committed, responsible, and trustworthy.
Famous Type Sixes:
  • Type Sixes need to feel supported by their co-workers, knowing they can rely on them if they have too much to do.
  • Type Sixes love to feel like they are a part of a team.
  • Type Sixes appreciate when others take the time to understand their thought process behind the decisions being made.

TYPE SEVEN

Type Sevens are known for their high energy, as well as their extroverted and optimistic nature.
Famous Type Sevens:
  • Type Sevens love activities that allow them to socialize. Did you just secure a huge sale for your company or hit a milestone? Sevens love thank you lunches or celebrations.
  • Type Sevens need positivity. Keep feedback and affirmations optimistic. 
  • Type Sevens appreciate recognition for how they solve a problem.

TYPE EIGHT

Type Eights are known for being straightforward and decisive. They tell you how it is, even if it is hard to hear. 
Famous Type Eights:
  • Type Eights appreciate when they are trusted enough to work independently and acknowledged for their efforts, a simple thank you is normally enough for them.
  • Type Eights enjoy seeing their work being used and appreciated by others.
  • Type Eights want to make big impacts, give them projects they are passionate about and you'll see amazing results.

TYPE NINE

Type Nines are known for being the peacemaker. They are accepting and stable in order to keep things running smoothly. 
Famous Type Nines: 
  • Type Nines value when others rely on their thoughtful approach to their work.
  • Type Nines hate when they are taken advantaged of when they offer support. Just because they are willing to help doesn't mean that you should abuse that help.
  • Type Nines appreciate when others offer constructive feedback without being too confrontational about it, they prefer a more optimistic approach.
